Roamwell started because most trip listings read the same: three adjectives, a stock photo and a price with an asterisk. We wanted the opposite — a proper written account of a route, the days laid out honestly, and photography that shows what a place actually looks like in the season we recommend.

Every itinerary here comes from a trip one of us has taken. We note the hours that matter, the days worth keeping empty, and the things that are genuinely worth the extra cost. Prices are the realistic starting point for two people sharing, not a headline figure.
